馬來西亞三大華文報業集團簽署合并協議共同應對挑戰

　　據報道，馬來西亞華文報紙業巨頭張曉卿旗下的馬來西亞星洲媒體集團和香港明報集團23日在吉隆坡與馬來西亞另一家報業集團南洋報業集團簽署協議，正式確認三大集團合并。

　　星洲媒體集團兼香港明報集團主席張曉卿在簽字儀式上說，華文媒體機構需要超越傳統的框架和國界，來應對信息技術和全球化的飛速發展所帶來的挑戰。

　　星洲媒體集團的一位董事經理說，三家報業集團實行的是企業合并，各集團所屬報紙和期刊編輯業務仍然相互獨立，各個報紙和刊物原有的特色也將被保留。他還表示，新成立的報業集團將積極尋求與其他國家和地區的華文媒體開展合作，以實現其走向世界的目標。

　　南洋報業集團執行主席梁棋祥表示，企業實行合并之后，有望幫助南洋報業集團降低成本，使集團扭轉目前虧損狀況。

　　星洲媒體集團是馬來西亞最大的華文報業集團之一，旗下有《星洲日報》和《光明日報》兩家華文報紙，主要在馬來西亞發行，日發行量約50萬份；南洋報業集團旗下有《南洋商報》和《中國報》等15家刊物；明報集團旗下有《明報》和《明報周刊》等刊物，在中國香港、加拿大的多倫多和溫哥華、美國的紐約和舊金山都有發行。
